The dream of your own Roman steam bath

Creating a Roman steam bath (caldarium) at home as a relaxation oasis is easier than you think! Electrically heated infrared couches and warming walls provide pleasant infrared radiation through the medium of ceramics (the tile). Visually, a Roman steam bath is more likely to be covered with natural stone and marble – but this is to the detriment of the rapid heating time (even the powerful heating mats with 400W take their time with thick coverings!).

Enjoy steam bath, tepidarium, caldarium and SOLEUM in one cabin! With the right choice of steam bath technology, all this is possible – you can get all the necessary components from SOLEUM GmbH. We also produce and assemble the steam cabin on site!

Build your own Roman steam bath at home?

Whether “Turkish steam bath” or “Oriental steam bath” or “Roman steambath” – it essentially comes down to the same thing – namely a tepidarium ,in the Roman steam bath namely then called CALDARIUM, with steam function thus 100% humidity.

The temperature here is mostly between 45-48°C.

Spending time in a steam bath is not only pleasant but also healthy. Due to the high humidity and heat in the steam bath, the respiratory tract is cleared, blood circulation is favorably influenced, the immune system is strengthened and even the skin can really “breathe” again. You can achieve the most positive effect on your health with brine fogging – a simple technique of SOLEUM with which you can spray or nebulize brine solution (1-3%) in the steam bath. Some teas are also suitable for this purpose!

Building your own Roman steam bath is easier than you think! This is very easy with the SPA modules from SOLEUM GmbH. Whether as an EPS blank or pre-produced by SOLEUM – you can assemble your steam bath just like a modular construction kit. Heats them with powerful heating mats and then cover them with tiles instead of marble. Marble slabs are very thick and the radiant heat then takes a correspondingly long time to penetrate through here. That is why tiles are more suitable for this purpose.

The qualitative electrode steam generator provides the necessary hot steam in the Roman steam bath. By adding scented essences you increase the Roman wellness pleasure !
